In dramatic fashion, Sophomore Jake Keener punched his ticket to the State Golf Tournament. Jake and two other competitors were tied with an 85 at the region golf tournament which forced a sudden death playoff between the three golfers. On the first hole, Jake ran in a 6 to 8 foot par putt to put the pressure on his opponents. Both golfers would eventually miss their short par putts that allowed Mr. Keener’s season to continue. His next match will be in the state finals at Gordon Lakes Golf Course near Augusta, Georgia on May 16th.
